Hi,
New here. And I couldn't tell you my favorite Heinlein book. Each one was another brick in the foundation of who I became. Trite, but there it is....
I do know I once spent too much time wishing for a "door into summer".
Anyway, I'm happy to have found this tribe.

The Door into Summer left a profound impact on me in a way I can't adequately explain. The plot, the characters, etc. weren't really anything special by Heinlein standards... but that image of the cat wanting to look through all of the doors to find the Door into Summer has stuck with me for many years now. I don't know. Maybe it's because it's so easy to identify with the cat?
