Eggs on "horseback" in reference to horsemeat. Irreverent reference from WWI when the meat in people's diets was the horse that got killed by artillery fire yesterday. -

Mon, November 8, 2004 - 12:24 PMHorsemeat was available until the early 1980s in Portland. All cuts of meat for a fraction of the cost of other meats. No, it dosen't taste like chicken. It cooks & tastes similar to venison.
I can just imagine how the "animal rights" folks would react to one of those shops now!
