I just finished SiaSL before Halloween and went as The Reverend Dr. Valentine Michael Smith, A.B. D.D. PhD. Founder and Pastor of the Church of All Worlds.
I found this kick ass spaceman robe thing made out of purple and silver fabric and bubble wrap with matching gloves and this pope looking hat at a yard sale. Under it I had a groovy polyester shirt and white pants. The preacher Michael. PLus I had business cards printed up as above. I won a prize (edible underwear) for "Most Misunderstood Costume". Thought that might please y'all. PLus it pleases me that there are other fans out there. Damn fine book.

Thu, November 4, 2004 - 9:11 AMA lot, yes, but a lot of it was just excessive verbosity. I once set out on a mission to read both side by side, marking in the uncut version the words that were left out, but only got through chapter 1 and the chapter where Mike, Jill, and Jubal visit the Fosterite service. LOTS of stuff taken out of that chapter.
